The Wyke Register was first published in May 1991 by Artsmiths, on Portland. It was taken over by Iain Ross Design and Issue 166 was published in February 2005 under the new ownership. In November 2006 full colour was introduced and printing was transferred to Henry Ling in Dorchester. Initial distribution was carried out in house, but is now undertaken monthly by the IMS Group.
The Register Magazine was launched one year after the Wyke Register re-design in November 2005.
It was originally mono and full colour pages were added in November 2006 when printing was transferred to Henry Ling. It is published monthly and distributed by the IMS Group.

Due to uncertainties caused by the pandemic, we have taken the decision to update the design and combine our two titles under one banner - Register Magazine, which ties in with the website title which has been in use for over 10 years.
We understand the long time affinity to the Wyke Register title, but you can be assured that the front page title is the only change, over 90% of the editorial and advertising content was covered in both magazines each month and coverage for all editorial and local organisations will stay the same, though the content is obviously impacted by the lockdown as many organisations are still not meeting. The magazine will now be distributed door-to-door to Wyke Regis and its environs, Preston, Sutton Poyntz, Osmington and Osmington Mills. After missing two printed editions we look forward to distributing the printed magazine each month as before.
